Strawberry Banana & Chia Seed Green Smoothie


This delicious strawberry, banana and chia seed green smoothie is sweet, creamy and loaded with nutrients. Strawberries are high in antioxidants and vitamin C. Chia seeds provide a dose of healthy fats, which support the health of hair, skin and nails and great for aiding weight loss.


And we can’t forget about the good ol’ bananas of course which give the smoothie the creamy consistency! Yum!


Bananas are packed full of fibre and provide natural energy and many other great benefits.

The leafy green I’ve used for this green smoothie is spinach, which is rich in minerals such as magnesium, calcium and iron to name a few.






Ingredients:

2 cup of spinach

1/2 cup of strawberries

2 bananas

1 tablespoon of chia seeds  

1 cup of almond milk





Instructions

  1. In a glass or jar, mix the chia seeds and the cup of almond milk, stir and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. This allows the chia seeds to soak to a gel-like consistency and makes it easier for the body to digest them.

  2. In a blender add the soaked chia seeds with the almond milk along with the spinach and blend for about a minute.

  3. Add the strawberries and bananas and blend again until smooth


Serve & Enjoy!
